The NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI established in 2008 by Act 1 of 2008 is premier Law University
established in the capital city of India. The Vision of the University is to make legal education an instrument of
social, political and economic change. The University is committed to preparing lawyers who will not only be
professionally competent, technically sound and socially relevant, to enter the bar and the bench but also be
equipped with addressing the imperatives of the new world and uphold the rule of law. The endea vor of the
University will be to impart knowledge in various aspects of law and to introduce the young generation of lawyers
to a wide range of opportunities in legal profession. The University has state of the art infrastructure and facilities
for learning and research at its campus at Sector 14, Dwarka, New Delhi.

The University invites applications for a Five year integrated B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree programme for the
academic year 2011-2012 commencing from August, 2011.

FIVE-YEAR B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) DEGREE PROGRAMME

ELIGIBILITY Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not
less than 50% of marks in the aggregate (those who are appearing in the examination in
March/April, 2011 can also apply)
AGE LIMIT Below 21 years as on 1st July, 2011 (23 years in case of SC/ST candidates)
TOTAL SEATS 80 (eighty) [70 (Seventy) seats on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and
10 (ten) seats for direct admission to Foreign Nationals on merit]. Foreign Nationals to be
eligible should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.
RESERVATION 15% for SC Candidates, 7.5% for ST Candidates, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
SCHOLARSHIPS The University provides liberal financial assistance for the needy and deserving students.

Admission will be strictly on merit through All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) to be conducted at Ahmedabad,
Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow,
Mumbai and Patna on May 1, 2011.

Interested candidates may apply along with a Demand Draft of Rs.2,500/- (Rupees two thousand five hundred only)
for General Candidates, Rs.1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in case of SC,ST and Person with Disability (PD)
drawn in favour of “REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, DELHI", payable at Delhi alongwith
copies of requisite Caste/PD Certificate. There is no application fee for Below Poverty Line (BPL) applicants of
SC/ST category (copy of BPL certificate from competent authority to be enclosed with application). All

Applications complete in all respects must reach in person or by post, to the REGISTRAR, NATIONAL LAW
UNIVERSITY, DELHI, Sector - 14, Dwarka, Ne w Delhi - 110078, on or before April 11, 2011. Applications
received after the last date shall not be entertained. The University will not be responsible for any postal/courier
delay.

AILET Previous Question Pape rs Booklet can be collected by depositing cash of Rs.500/- (2008-2010) from
the office of the National Law University, Delhi or by sending a DD of Rs.550/- in favour of “Registrar,
National Law University, Delhi” payable at Delhi.

Timing of AILET

3.00 pm to 4.30 pm on May 1, 2011.

Test Centres

Ahme dabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu,
Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Patna.

Note:
(i) The candidate shall secure minimum of 40% (30% for SC and ST candidates) of the total marks in the
AILET to become eligible for the admission. The University reserves the right to keep the seats vacant if
there are no candidates who secured minimum cut off marks.

(ii) If two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks in the AILET, their merit will be
determined in the following manner and order; (1) O n the basis of Percentage of marks in the Senior
Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) / Higher Secondary School or its equivalent recognized by
the University (2) On the basis of Percentage of marks in the X standard (3) Elder in age will be preferred
(4) Draw of Lots.

(iii) At least 30% of the total seats shall be filled by eligible horizontal reservation for women candidates
including those selected in reserved and foreign national categories.
