DAY 1 INSET MARCH 2021 NARRATIVE REPORT

FIRST DAY

The first speaker for the first day morning session was Ma’am Riza May P. Coleta. She had discussed about the
“Understanding the RPMS S.Y. 2020-2021 in the time of COVID 19 and Understanding the Role of the PPST in RPMS.
She clearly deliberated the definitions of PPST such as that : PPST provides a framework of uniform measures to assess
teacher performance which has seven 7 domains, 37 strands and 37 indicators for each career stage.
Ma’am Marilyn Galvez had also emphasized the HR systems anchored on the PPST which includes the following:
Learning and Development, Recruitment, Selection, Placement, RPMS, Rewards and Recognition and other HR systems.
Everybody had learned and realized that PPST is not part of the RPMS thus PPST is a stand-alone document; the same
way with the RPMS which is not also part of PPST. It is a pre-existing system requirement from the Civil Service
Commission.
Generally, with the advent demanding changes brought about by 21 st century trends and issues paradigm shift in learning
and development for teachers was established. It is from the mastery of content to acquisition of skills. Teachers need to
cope up with these changes. In order to provide and offer quality education, DepEd established the Results- Based
Performance Management System for all its personnel.
The speaker for the afternoon session was Ma’am Crestin G. Cornelio. She had discussed the “ Presentation of School
Head OPCRF for S.Y. 2020-2021
