Community Meetings
Community meetings are integral to the formation of the CCP.
A number of meetings will be scheduled, ensuring participation
from youth, elders and various community groups.
March 2011
Ownership of the CCP belongs to the membership. That means everyone! All age groups from youth to
elders, single parents, family heads, band administration and businesses will share their ideas and
concerns at various community forums, open houses and one-on-one meetings. It is hoped that everyone Comprehensive Community Planning

will embrace and contribute to our future throughout this process.

Individually we can air our concerns and collectively we can formulate strategies for implementing the
results of meaningful discussion.

Many other First Nations that have developed Comprehensive Community Plans have enjoyed positive
results in relatively short periods of time because they have agreed on a common vision. We hope that
we can achieve similar results through our process. That means that everybody should contribute in
some form because traditionally, as Tk’emlúpsemc, this is how things are done. in this issue >>>
