• My role in the team was to manage our
progress and keeping track of when
assignments were due. So I created a
spreadsheet called “assignment tracker”
where I would list out all the assignments
due on a daily basis and due dates and who
turned it in just so everyone had a place to
check. By me creating this sheet we
managed to turn in all our things on time
and knowing who was responsible for
turning things in and overall our solution
was a team collaboration I suggested we
used hashtags so we made sure to include
that in our final presentation.

A time I used engaging communication was
when I would ask my fellow teammates
about their ideas and how we would go
about the project. I remember bringing up
that there was a huge spanish speaking
population in Norcross and how important
it was for them to be able to understand and
get involved with the City of Norcross and
that way they get more engagement they
probably weren't getting before since it was
all their posts were in English so we
differently wanted that to be apart of our
final solution. Engaging communication
with my teammates on zoom made
everything so much smoother especially for
me since I would always find a way to
communicate.
A time I used critical and analytical
thinking within my consultancy project
was when I was analyzing the problem
given to us and what City of Norcross
needed our help with so I would go
back and review the problem and see
what the possible solutions would
solve the problem and also point back
to the consultancy question we were
tasked with. By using critical and
analytical thinking, it helped me make
sure everything tied back to the task
that we were given, which was the
ultimate key at the end of the day
because I wanted to make sure our
solution was amazing and that it would

consultancy? How?
The biggest lesson I learned on this consultancy was
team collaboration because it was such an important
skill to have in order for a team to be successful. My
team and I communicated politely and friendly through
zoom, it helped us get our work done and provide our
coach with an amazing solution at the end since we all
worked so hard together.

MID-YEAR COLLEGE/CAREER UPDATE
I’ve applied to 8 schools in total I
might apply to another during
spring break. I am still waiting to
hear back. I applied for FAFSA
back in October and it was
successfully processed just
waiting to see how much I
qualified for each school.

• Has this experience inspired you to learn
more about a specific industry or career
path?
• If so, elaborate on your new interests.
No, but it was very interesting to
learn about how the City of
Norcross is doing about
sustainability and making sure
they stay a green city. It was
definitely a good consultancy to
be apart of I learned so much but
I am still set on my original career
paths and the sustainability
industry is not really in my
interests right now for what I see
myself doing.
