Dear parents and guardians,

The 11th-grade technology classes will soon allow their students to use their phones in

class to complete assignments. With technology becoming more acceptable to students and

young adults we think it would be best if the students and parents are taught about the concept of

digital footprints. A digital footprint is a sort of record that anyone can find and look through, the

digital footprint contains a variety of different things such as posts on social media and any other

sites on the internet. This is important because employers will research applicants and if they see

something they don't like on the applicant's footprint they won't hire them, it is important that

students learn about digital footprints so that they do not create something that could ruin their

carries in the future.
