Schedule DETAILS OF CERTIFICATE CHANGES (for issues 1 and above):

EQUIPMENT: Issue 1
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:
Addition of External Speaker Microphone, A-MS-12.

The EP Series handheld radios are battery operated two way radios for use by personnel in potentially explosive atmospheres. The EP Issue 2
series consists of two models, the E-Tech EP100 [Frequency range: 136 – 174 MHz] and E-Tech EP400 [Frequency range: 403 – 470
MHz] types. They are identical in physical build and construction with the only difference being that they cover different frequency Address change, technical PCB component changes and update of documents.
bands. Each radio can be recharged in a safe area via the use of a recharging docking station.
Annex:
The radios have the facility for connection of an external headset manufactured by ETECH. This connection point on the radio
operates within intrinsically safe parameters. The headset is separately certified for use in explosive atmospheres. Annex to IECEx TRC 10.0009X is 2.pdf

The external speaker microphone A-MS-12 is a hand-held device designed and manufactured by E-TECH for use by personnel in
potentially explosive atmospheres. Located on the side of this unit is a PTT knob which operates as an on/off switch for the
microphone/speaker arrangement. On the back of the black outer casing is a belt clip and on the front is the speaker and microphone.

There is an external mini jack socket on the device that gives the facility for suitably approved ATEX/IECEx headphones to be
connected.

The mini jack plug at the end of the curl cord can be secured by screws (which are located in the plug moulding), and connects to the
EP series handheld radios.

CONDITIONS OF CERTIFICATION: YES as shown below:

“Special Conditions of Safe Use” for Ex Equipment, (EP Series Handheld 2 Way Radios):
1. Only suitably approved Ex equipment can be connected to the microphone/headset connector (CON501).
2. Do not charge the battery pack in the hazardous location.
3. The antenna must be correctly fitted whilst in the hazardous area.

“Special Conditions of Safe Use” for Ex Equipment, (External speaker microphone):

1. The A-MS-12 shall only be used with the EP100 / EP400 radios.
