Celebrating Eid in A Village and Celebrating Eid in A Town
Eid is an important word in Islam, hence why it comes up more than once
throughout the year. Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha fall at two very different yet very
important times within the Islamic lunar calendar. In Eid,the Islam community
from all across the globe shows their gratefulness to Allah for everything they
own.Though there are similarities in celebrating Eid in village & in a a town but
there are differences in terms of Eid special Foods,Buying new clothes,Enjoying
the empty city.
The first major difference between celebrating Eid in a village and celebrating Eid
in a town is the food variation. In the village, people used to make a special food
called”Semai”.It is a special noodle like food cooked with milk, sugar &
coconut.Much other sweet food is cooked besides many types of semai on Eid
day.Other special common foods are meat curry & “khichuri”.On the other
hand,In the town people buy semai from the market.Town people also make
khacchi biryani,noodles etc.
The final difference between celebrating Eid in a village and celebrating Eid in a
town is Eid day’s hangout.City people become very happy during Eid because
only on these days of holidays they can enjoy the streets without traffic jam.The
city becomes quiet & empty.People can walk in the streets relaxing. On the
other hand, village becomes so crowdy because everyone wants to celebrate
their eid with their family in village. In the evening, everyone goes to visit their
relativies wearing new clothes.Eid special food is served there.
So, here you have these differences to consider when deciding where to go
celebrating the Eid . Although both places are interesting and exciting, it all depends
on what you are looking for. Keep in mind that wherever you decide to go you will
enjoy it.
