Connection Test for Adobe Connect Meeting

Please install the Adobe Connect Application for Desktop before the webinar to avoid any flash related
issues. You can download the application here:
http://ana.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

It is recommended that you test your connection prior to the webinar.

If you are having difficulty connecting to your webinar, please read through this document for
suggestions about how to address the problem.

FOR ATTENDEES
Adobe Connect provides an online connection test for troubleshooting connection problems with your
Adobe Connect Meeting. This utility tests four key components for a successful meeting experience:
• Adobe Flash Player version
• Network connectivity to the Adobe Connect Server
• Available bandwidth
• Acrobat Connect Meeting Add-In version
You can access this utility inside the meeting room by choosing Help > Troubleshooting.
You can also access the test at the following URL:

Additional tips and best practices regarding Adobe Connect:

Windows 7, 8/Internet Explorer and Mac OS/Safari

• These tend to be the least restrictive browsers for
joining Adobe Connect meetings or seeing Flash
content, provided that you are current with the latest
Flash version and operating system security updates.
• Make sure popup notifications are enabled for the
meeting site to proceed.

(All Operating Systems) Chrome

• Recent Chrome versions disable all Flash content by
default, but it can be re-enabled on a site-by-site basis:
o Upon using Chrome to visit
https://ana.adobeconnect.com, a user can click the
! icon in the URL bar. A dropdown menu will appear.
Under Flash, select Always allow on this site, and
reload the page if prompted.
(All Operating Systems) Firefox
• Recent Firefox versions will block all Flash content if the user’s installed Flash player is not up to date.
• You can verify your Flash version by going to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/about/ and updating
accordingly.

Windows 10/Microsoft Edge

• Microsoft Edge is not recommended for Adobe Connect/Flash content. Please use an alternate browser
on devices running Windows 10 (Chrome/Firefox).

iOS
• The iOS Adobe Connect app works well, provided the user has sufficient Wi-Fi bandwidth to support the
meeting. Cellular should be avoided, as it will throttle down the meeting quality and potentially contribute
to excessive data overage fees.
