Julius Maggi, a Swiss businessman, founded Maggi in 1872. According to experts,

Swiss Public Welfare Society enlisted Julius Maggie's assistance, and Maggi noodles was
born out of necessity. Julius called the commodity after her surname in the meantime.
Julius Michael Johannes Maggi was his full name. Maggi noodles were first introduced in
Germany in the year 1897.
