Cradles to Crayons Clothing Drive

Hello!
My name is Maeve Padien and I am a leader at Project 351. You may remember me from the
Fall with Arlington EATS. Project 351 is a youth based leadership program that runs in each
town in Massachusetts. I am Arlington’s current representative at Project 351.
This spring, I am running a clothing drive for Cradles to Crayons. Their mission is to provide
clothing and shoes to children who need them. Dignity is essential in each item; we all want
the child to feel confident and like their clothing, even though they are not the ones picking
it out.
After April Break, there will be a collection box for clothes in the main lobby at Bishop. I
know that spring cleaning has arrived and with that, lots of clothes that don’t fit. If you have
bags of clothes you want to donate, you can!
The collection drive will start on Wednesday April 28 and end on Wednesday May 19. If you
want to donate over break, there is an option to do so. If you live in Arlington, I can do
contactless pickup for your items. The google form to sign up is right here . If you are more
comfortable with contactless pickup, that option will be available until the drive ends on
May 19.
You can also contact me at arlington351@gmail.com or mpadien2024@spyponders.com
Thank you so much for your support!

Learn Chess with Luke!

Luke Ji is a 3rd grader in Ms. Capaldo's class. He has been playing chess since age 6 and is
currently a top 10 player by rating in the country for the age 9 group.
In the past year, Luke has been teaching some of his friend chess lessons on a weekly basis.
Now he wants to offer that to any K-3 student at Bishop (w or w/o prior experience) who
wants to learn. The lessons are at 7 pm on Wednesdays.
For anyone interested, they can email Luke directly at y.luke.ji@gmail.com for more
information.
