It is said by Thomas Jefferson - the third US President, that “Beer, if drunk in moderation, softens the

temper, cheers the spirit and promotes health.” That is the reason why now, in modern life, we cannot
deny the appearance of beer in many gatherings, parties or even meetings. Ever since Vietnamese
people mention about beer, we often have in mind a familiar brand, named Heineken.

Originated from Netherlands, HEINEKEN is a brewer presented in most countries all around the world. A
story began with an enthusiastic and passionate young man named Gerard Adriaan Heineken. In 1864,
he took over a brewery in Amsterdam and after more than 150 years since HEINEIKEN establishment, it
built up its own group from a small family-owned brewery in Amsterdam to an empire of over 84,000
employees globally; more than 300 international, regional, local and speciality beers and ciders brands;
165 breweries and 190 countries worldwide, including Heineken Vietnam. It is undeniable to say that
their core values that can drive the company, can be such successful like that. HEINEKEN believes that
Passion of Quality, Enjoyment of Life and Respect for People and for the Planet – their core values
represent what they stand for. Hence, driven with same values, Heineken Vietnam, established in 1991,
have attempted to become a leading, fully proud and responsible beer producer in Vietnam.
