ACCURATE BREAST CANCER DETECTION
With 27 microns diagnos c resolu on, MAMMOSCAN
provides be er visualiza on of the breast thus ensuring more
accurate detectability of tumors and microcalcifica ons.
Spa al resolu on of 20 line pairs per millimeter offers
significant add-on value to the diagnos c process compared
to other available digital mammography systems.
REDUCES THE PATIENT DOSE
MAMMOSCAN uses its patented slot-scan technology,
which efficiently rejects the sca ered radia on with the
result of reduced radia on and improved resolu on. In
most mammography systems the radia on sca er
increases the level of noise on the image.
This needs to be compensated for by adding an an -
sca er grid. This can then result in an increase in higher
exposure factors, to maintain the exposure to the detector,
and of course the breast, when the grid is inserted. This is
not required by MAMMOSCAN system resul ng in a lower
dose of radia on for the pa ent.
AUTOMATED EXAMINATION PROCESS
INCREASES THE WORKFLOW
The motorized movements with iso-centric rota on,
combined with customizable presets of the screening and
diagnos c workflow significantly reduce the examina on
me. The posi oning control panels which are designed to
be accessible from all sides of the system, including the top
part, increases the flexibility for lateral posi oning. The
automa c decompression feature releases the pa ent
breast compression release for addi onal comfort.
