Made phone calls in the office, worked in excel for the No Kids Hungry Project, had
meetings, attended a Webinar for the handbook, participated in Microsoft teams -feature
Fridays meeting.

a) Describe your activities in some detail.

This week at the Health Initiative, I worked for the No Kids Hungry Project and needed
to complete that project in excel. I made more phone calls in the office for the project. I
am comparing their handbooks right now and seeing if anything is different. I attended a
webinar about the handbook, and that was interesting. I attended the Microsoft teams
feature Friday’s meeting that helps us navigate Teams. The guy who works at the
Health Initiative helps us and asks if we have any questions.

b) Include your reactions to these activities and your clients and peers.
I had another fantastic week at the Health Initiative. I worked on the No Kids Hungry
project this week in the office. I made lots of phone calls to people. I enjoy making
phone calls to people. It is interesting to see what everyone wants to say about the
program. I found it interesting to see all the included policies in a handbook, and it
always needs updating. I enjoyed listening to all the things Teams has to offer, and I
hope I will use these features one day.

c) Were you supervised during these activities?

I was not supervised when I was working on my tasks because it is virtual, but my supervisor
does review everything I send back to her.

3. What did you expect to learn through these activities?

I expected to learn about all the policies and what is offered in Teams.

4. What exactly did you learn through these activities?

Through all of these activities, I learned that there is a lot of work that goes into a project
and there is so much that goes into running a business. There is always so much
paperwork and documents that have to be reviewed.

a) If so, what are they and who is requiring them?

I cannot identify any, but I think there is always opportunity for improvement.

5. What activities do you expect to be engaged in during the next 40 hours of internship work?
Throughout the next week, I will expect to be engaged in more projects for the No Kids
Hungry project and other tasks from my supervisor.
6. What do you expect to learn during the activities of the next 40 hours of internship work?
I will learn more about the No Kids Hungry Project and other things that my supervisor
will provide.

7. What do you WANT to learn? Have you communicated this to your supervisor?
I want to learn more about the handbook and I have communicated this to my
supervisor.
