A Car Journey to East Coast

Life’s a journey. I love going to different parts of Malaysia just to learn more about the local cultures
and lifestyles. Here is a story of my car journey to Kuala Terengganu and Kuantan.

Before I began with my exciting trip, I checked the distanced from Kota Bharu to Kuala Terengganu
and to Kuantan by studying the Google Map application. At first, I used the Waze application on my
smartphone but it lacks some important details that I need to know. It is about 164 kmto reach Kuala
Terengganu and 365 km to reach Kuantan from my home.

On 3rd August 2020, I departed from Kota Bharu at 8 am. After 2 hours and 45 minutes of driving,
finally I reached my first destination, Kuala Terengganu. I spent some time visiting some famous
attractions there. I had lunch at Batu Buruk and also visited the famous public market named “Pasar
Payung”, where I bought some delicious fish cracker snacks called ‘Keropok Lekor’ and the unique
‘Ketupat Sotong’.

At around 5 pm, the journey continued. Finally, I arrived at my second destination, Kuantan at
around9 am. It took about 3 hours of driving to Kuantan from Kuala Terengganu. Since I was
exhausted due to 6 hours of driving, I went to sleep right after I checked into my hotel room.

The next day, after I had a tasty breakfast at the hotel, I went to the nearest shopping mall, Berjaya
Megamall. It’s an old shopping mall but people are still going there.After a round of bowling and a
hot Starbuck’ latte, I headed back to Kota Bharu at 3 pm and safely arrived home at 10 pm.

All in all, it was a fantastic trip for me personally. Drop your comments below if you know interesting
