Synopsis
Information Systems are considered by all organizations as critical to their ability to compete and gain competitive
advantage. This subject focuses on the analysis and design of Information Systems. In particular, the analysis process
is applied to business requirements for Information Systems so that the Information Systems are designed to fulfil
those business requirements. Therefore, the product of systems analysis and design is an information system. Within
the context of Information Systems, the emphasis of this subject is on the business issues that concern the owners
and users of Information Systems.
