TOS of GE of the LET

The Licensure exams are scheduled twice a year to cater the growing number of aspiring
registered professional teachers for both elementary and secondary levels. To pass the exam, an
examinee must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating of lower
than 50% in any of the test.

Student-related and faculty-related factors as predictors of educational graduates' LET success

showed that variables such as the profile of examiners significantly influence the LET success of
educational graduates. Different areas of specialization (S. Pachejo and W. Allaga,2017),
intership training courses (V. Mayuga,2016), academic achievement (G.C. Rabanal,2016), altado
III,2017). The admission test scores (R. Ferrer et. Al., 2017), the degree course (J. Pascua and J.
Navalta, 2011), the English proficiency (R. Hena et. Al., 2017), and the students' GPA (H.
Soriano, 2017) are several significant factors affecting the LET performance of the educational
graduates. Several attempts were also made to discover models (I. Tarun, et. Al., 2017) in
predicting the success in the licensing process, which supported more in-depth analysis covering
other independent variables (S. Roehrig, 2017) and alternative methods (CHED, Addendum to
CMO s. 2004, 2017). Nonetheless, the current scenario for teacher education institutions paints a
bleak picture showing that graduates consistently performed low in the three skills resulting in
poor overall LET success (Arenillo et al., 2009).

PRC through the Resolution No. 25 series of 2019 announced the following modifications in the
list of allowable non-programmable calculators for LET.

Only the examinees in Secondary Level major in Mathematics (under Specialization subject) are
allowed to use calculator.

The only allowed features of calculator are Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division,
Trigonometric Function, Logarithm and xy.

Only one (1) calculator is allowed in examination room.

The resolution shall be applied starting the September 2019 Licensure Exam for Teachers
onwards.
