EARTHQUAKE DRILL NARRATIVE REPORT

Occurrence of earthquake nowadays is very rampant not only in the Philippines but also to
other countries. In this regard, every individual is encourage to be resilient enough if ever this will be hit in
Our place. The government on the other hand keeps on updating its means and ways on how to lessen
Casualties if this kind of calamity will hit.

The conduct of the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill is scheduled on
March 11, 2021 @ 2:00 P. M. Ibabao Elementary School participated actively in the said drill.
Through the full support and cooperation of the Barangay Council and the PTA Officials the said activity is
successfully launce.

The bell rung which signaled that there is an earthquake. Pupils, teachers and some stake
holders were alerted. While the bell is going on, everybody performed the “DUCK”, “COVER”, and “HOLD”.
When the bell stop ringing, both GPTA Official and teachers evacuated the building following the
evacuation route and proceed to the evacuation area. When everybody has settled down, Head Count was
done. GPTA President Marina Magpiong gave a talk regarding earthquake and the importance of having a
regular earthquake drill.

An evaluation of the said drill was done by Erlinda S. Jugas a SDRRM Coordinator of Ibabao
ES, Ibabao, Siquijor, Siquijor. It was indeed a successful drill due to the joint effort of the teaching force of
Ibabao Elementary School, Barangay Council, and Stakeholders.
