To crochet this fox toy you need:

DK (3 or light) weight yarn of orange, brown, white, gray, amber and maroon colours
(100g - 260m / 3,53Oz - 274 yds)
2 ply (0 or lace) weight yarn of beige colour
(100g - 660m / 3,53Oz - 720 yds)
2.5 mm crochet hook
1 mm crochet hook

Fiberfill for stuffing
Sewing needle and scissors

Changing the yarn colour:

While doing a single crochet:


Start the single crochet s�tch as normal (yarn over and pull through), leaving two loops on your
hook. Wrap the new colour yarn around the hook and pull the new colour through the two
loops on your hook, comple�ng the single crochet s�tch and colour change. Con�nue as normal
in the new colour. Please refer to pictures below.

If you need to start a round with new colour, do these steps on the last s�tch of previous
round.

Assemble ears:

1. Make the outer part flat and close the


bo�om by sewing. Leave the remaining thread.
2. Place inner part in the middle of the
outer part and sew around.

Assemble the head:

1. A�ach the snout between the eyes. Top


of the snout should be on round 14. Stuff snout
before closing up.
2. Insert the head into head cover. Ensure that
4 rounds remain uncovered above the eyes and
that the gap between the eyes and head cover
are equal on both sides of the face.
3. Sew the head cover around using back loops.
4. Posi�on snout cover on the snout and above.
It should cover all the way up to the head
cover. Sew around.
5. A�aching ears:
Use a s�tch marker to mark the middle of
the head on round 9. Ears should be
spaced 5 s�tches apart at the top of the head.
6. Place ears on the side of the head cover.
Begin by a�aching inner ear to round 9 and
sew ear diagonally out to round 13.
7. Embroider nose on the seam where snout
cover starts. Use black yarn.

Assemble the fox:
1. A�ach the arms right below the white neck.
2. A�ach the tail to the back of the body, in the
middle where the gray colour starts.
3. Sew the body to the head.

Shorts:
Start with the founda�on chain. Use maroon
yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook.

1. ch 26 [26]
Insert the hook in first st of chain forming a
circle. Make sure that your chain isn’t twisted
and start croche�ng in rounds:

Fasten off and set aside leg 1. Make another


piece (leg 2) iden�cal to this one, but do not

Make 2 suspenders:

1. ch 28 [28]
2. Start in second ch from the hook: sc 27 [27]

Fasten off and leave a long thread for sewing.

Assemble the shorts:
A�ach suspenders to front and back corners
of shorts. they should be crossed at the back
side. Weave in the ends a�er sewing and dress
your li�le fox.
