ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE 7-1 Power supply check 1, Positive ripple. Should be no more than 2mVp-p, Set oscilloscope vertical gain at 10mV/em and check that power supply ripple is 2mV or less, 2. Negative ripple. Same as positive, should be no more than amvp-p, 7-2. Pitch adjustment 1. VCO-1 Perform adjustment with synthesizer controls at “normal setting” (Scale=8, Wavetorm= ML , Maser Tune, Pitch, and ail other knobs at "0"). See figure 1 a Play C-4 (high G) on the keyboard and ad- justthe high @ semi-fixed screw until you cbtain the correct tuning as indicated by WT-10A (connected to the SIG QUT jack). b. Play key C-1 and adjust the low @ seri- fixed screw. c. Repeat steps a and b as many times as necessary until Doth are tuned to the correct pitch. d. Check the tuning of C-1, C-2, C-3, and C-4 fon the WT-10A meter to make sure pitch devia- tion is within +2 cents for each. fe. Change the scale to 92°, 16, 8, and 4° and check the tuning of all four C keys to make sure that the pitch deviation of each is within +10.cents. 2. VCO-2, Set the VCO-1 level at "0" and the VCO-2 level at "10". Then follow the same procedure as for YCO-1, by adjusting the high @ and low @ semi-fixed screws, 7-8, KBD CV adjustment Use a 4-1/2 digital volimeter to measure the KBD GV OUT signal ‘a. Measure output vollage frst when you play key C-4, then when you play key C-3. The output voltage tor C-3 should be exactly hall that for +4, Adjust the KBD CV high @ semisixec screw as necessary So thal C-3 produces helt the voltage of C-4 >. Measure C-2and then C-1 in the same way. Agjust the KBD CV low @ semi-fixed screw as necessary s0 that C-2 produces exacly hai! the voltage of C-4 ¢. Repeat steps @ and b as many times as necessary unt the output vottage of each of -1, C-2, 6-3, and C-4 is exactly hatf that of the next = So ge Cl =" G) | @) KBD OV AD] he |e Fier | For Le DIGITAL, VOUTMETER 10 7-4. VCF Fe adjustment at"10", Then adjust the @ semi-fixed screw as Connect a frequency counter to the PHONES jack necessary s¢ that the HPF oscillation frequency {since a high output level ig needed for measure- ig 500Hz. ment). Set VCO-1 and VCO-2 level at "0". 2 VCLPF 3. VC HPF Set HPF PEAK at "0", and LPF PEAK at “10” Reter to the settings shown in figure 2. Set the Then adjust the @ semi-ficed screw in the same LPF PEAK knob at “0”, and the HPF PEAK knob way as you did for the HPF. j= FREQUENCY COUNTER ”
