THANK U, NEXT

Focusing on herself, Ariana Grande sings a catchy tribute to all of her exes who helped

shape her character. Instead of saying what most people say about their exes, Grande is very nice

when she sings about her relationships in her song. Grande gives thanks to her exes, including

Pete Davidson and the late Mac Miller for teaching her "patience", "pain", and showing her that

she is an individual, not a man's girlfriend. She makes sure to thank them, while also making it

clear that she does not mourn them because she has herself and that's all that matters. Women

across the world now use Grande's song of turning her ex relationships into learning experiences

as mantras for their breakups. The overall message of THANK U, NEXT is that women should

break up with anyone who gets in their way of success and their goals, but every relationship is

still a learning experience.
