1 In my opinion, if MTV used Samsung’s strategy, they would lose their customers. MTV is popular
because customers can watch TV which is popular in local place and listen to local popular song.
That is their strength.

2 I will tell them to play music and TV which are popular among aged people. In developed country,
the number of aged people is increasing. Thus, if MTV want to increase profits, they should target
old people. For example, in Japan, enka is popular among old people so if they play enka, a lot of
aged people will watch it.

3 I will use MTV’s strategy for McDonald’s. Each country has different eating habits. For example,
people who is Muslim do not eat pork. Thus, it will be better to use other meat for them. If
MacDonald’s has one style all over the world, maybe it will be problems.

4 In my opinion, it is important to think according to age. Young people and old people have
different lifestyle and tastes. Thus, we have to make products according to the target group to deliver
huge returns.

I would like to talk about Korean Cup Noodle. In Japan, a lot of people are very busy, and they do
not have much time to eat. Thus, Cup Noodle of Korea will be popular because it is delicious and
convenient. We can prepare Cup Noodle in only three minutes. If we want to sell their Cup Noodle
in Japan, it will be better to alter the taste to suit the Japanese taste. Karashi is sauce which is unique
to Japan. It is spicy but different from Korean spicy. It will be popular to sell karashi taste Cup
Noodle in Japan because Japanese like it very much. In addition, it will be better to have cute
package when we want to sell in Japan. Japanese young people like cute things so it will be popular
among young people if it has cute package. It’s part of their daily routine to take picture of cute
things and post on Instagram. Thus, we can expect the impact of advertising and make profits.
