In my country Uzbekistan, I don't know any other embassy with an open

library for public that could provide foreign nationals with a wide range
of opportunities to explore. My classmates at the lyceum recommended
that I go to the US Embassy in Tashkent due to the immense
opportunities there to learn and master English and find out more about
the country itself. I was much mesmerized to hear it as I myself am a
student of English as I have been learning the language for more than a
year and I believe attending a variety of events (such as Conversation)
will help me to cement my understanding of English.
As a student of English, I became interested in pursuing my studies in an
English speaking country. By reading texts and watching news in English,
I gained more information about what it is like to live in the famous
Anglophone countries such as the USA, the UK, Australia. I choose to
study in the USA for several reasons. Firstly, the opportunities provided
by the US Embassy make it very easy and convenient to get information
about the Education there. I was impressed much to learn that there
already are significant numbers of Uzbek students pursuing degrees
mostly in Economics and Political Sciences. Secondly, I view the US as a
land loaded with tons of opportunities for a prospective student wishful
of a bright future. Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg are my favourite
examples. I am convinced that this has to do with an open and inclusive
nature of the country, where talented individuals are valued highly, for
otherwise, it wouldn't have achieved such a great success worldwide.
And speaking of the inclusive atmosphere, this is what my country lacks
in terms of. It makes me curious to know what it feels like to experience
the American culture. For me personally, arriving at the USA will be my
1st step into the independent life. Thirdly and most importantly, the USA
is a leader in terms of a fast-developing R&D sector. This makes it an
attractive choice for me because I want to pursue a degree in
automotive industry after finishing my studies at the lyceum. From the
second half of my school years, I have been studying Mathematics
(including Calculus) and Physics hard to realize my dream. My parents
are hopeful of me and it increases my passion to further advance my
knowledge and the US is the perfect place for me where students from
all over the world enjoy THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF EDUCATION IN THE
WORLD. The fact that there are many East Asians from countries such as
Japan, China, Taiwan is a proof for this. Although the program I am
applying for lasts 1 month, in my mind, it will give me an invaluable
feeling and will broaden my worldview, increasing my ability of critical
thinking. When I am back in Uzbekistan, I want to encourage my fellows
whom I know to be hard-working by sharing my experiences in the US. I
also plan to research more on the full-time study requirements and on
obtaining scholarships from universities of my choice before my second
immigration. (525 words)
