Rule 3 Division 4 -Sec. 3.401 General Provisions

D. Width and Capacity of Means of Egress:

(1) level egress components (including Class A Ramps) – 100 persons; and inclined egress
components (including Class B Ramps) – 60 persons.

(2) measured in units of exit of fifty five (55) centimeters.

E. Egress Capacity and Occupant Load:

(1) the gross area figure shall then be made of those spaces where occupant load is determined
on the basis exceeds that on the gross area basis, the means of egress shall be based on the larger
occupant load figure.

H. Measurement of Travel Distance to Exits:

(1) starting thirty (30) centimeters from the remote point

(2) In case of individual rooms subject to occupancy by not more than six (6) persons; travel
from any point in the room to the room does not exceed fifteen (15) meters.

Sec. 3.403. Interior Stairs and Smokeproof Tower

Rule 3 – Division 5 – Features of Fire Protection

Sec 3.501. Sprinkler Vent Method

(2) The downdraft have an average of not less than ninety one and half (91.5) meters per
minute under a period of not less than thirty (30) minute.

Sec 3.504. Automatic Sprinklers and Other Extinguishing Equipment.

Rule 3 – Division 11 – Mercantile Occupancies

Sec 3.1101. General Requirements. – A. Classification of Occupancy

B. Classification of Hazard.

C. Occupant Load
(a) Street floor, one (1) person - (2.8) square meters gross floor area.

(c). Upper floors, used for sale: one (1) persons - (5.6) square meters gross floor area.

(d) Floors or sections used only for office, storage, shipping and not open to the general public:
one (1) person - (9.3) square meters gross floor area.
 (f) Covered Walls: One (1) person - (2.8) square meters gross floor area.

F. Measurement of Travel Distance to Exits. – shall be no more than thirty and one-half (30.5)
meters.

Rule 3 – Division 12 – Business Occupancies

Sec 3.1201 C. Occupant Load

(1) The occupant load of business purposes shall be no less than (1) person per (9.3) square
meters of gross floor area.

C. Capacity of Exits

(1) minimum travel time to or from a required shall be one hundred twelve (112) centimeters in
the clear.

F. Measurement of Travel Distance to Exits. –shall not more than sixty one (61) meters.
