Problem set 2: Pivot table and charts

Always use excel/spreadsheets when solving the following problems.

1. The data below represents the age, and the average amount spends every month. Draw a
scatter chart using the data. Is there any pattern that you can find? Explain!

2. The environment condition becomes more and more worrying. Please refer to the “2020 air
quality.xlsx” file. Summarize the ozone level data. Do the data show any pattern of the ozone
level? Develop graphic(s) and Explain!

3. Refer to file “2020 heart disease.csv”. The data show medical record data, especially with the
one with heart disease. Summarize the data! Does heart disease have a relationship with age,
blood pressure, and blood sugar?

4. File “2020 cars.csv” provides several cars with their characteristics. Do the fuel consumption
(mpg = miles per gallon) has a strong correlation with other variables? Develop graphic(s) and
Explain!

5. Analyze the sales data in file “2020 sales data.csv”. Develop graph(s) that show the sales
throughout the years. Is there any pattern that repeats every year? Which departments and
stores that have low and minimum sales? Is there any department or store that has high
fluctuations in sales?

6. Do an analysis for data in file “2020 data retail.csv”!
