Assessment 1
Task 1.

an A4 size paper.

1. Read the Grow Management Consultants scenario and Strategic Plan provided on your e-
learning. Using the Processes Report Template, develop a performance management system
report for the company addressing a summary of the current situation, proposed objectives and
proposed performance management system.
2. Write a script of the meeting with the management team, discussing the purpose of the meeting,
the report, their feedback and recommendations for human resource requirements.
3. Write me an email summarising the final performance management process.
4. Develop a 30-minute PowerPoint training session to deliver to the managers of Grow
Management Consultants to guide them in implementing the new performance management
processes.
5. Write a script of you presenting to the class the training session you prepared.
6. Refer to the Staff Survey Results and develop a brief report on the effectiveness of the
performance management system, including a summary of issues raised by the staff survey and
at least two recommendations for improving the system based on the results of the Staff Survey.
Assessment 2
To submit:
In an A4 size paper,
1. An email to the manager (assessor) on the advise on performance monitoring and intervention.
2. An email to the manager regarding the procedures that should be implemented.
3. An email to Janice using the STAR method.
4. An email to the manager regarding the procedures on Janice’s termination.
5. A screenshot of your record keeping.
Procedure:
1. Read the email from the manager of Grow Management Consultants and then send an email to
the Manager (your assessor) informing them of the performance management process that must
be followed, including documentation of all related meetings and correspondence which is
aligned to the performance management process you developed in Assessment 1, Task 2.
2. Read the next email from the manager, the Fair Work Ombudsman Best practice dispute
resolution guide and the legislation on flexible working arrangements provided on your e-
learning and assessment task and then send an email to the Manager outlining the procedures
that must be followed right away.
3. Send an email to Janice White informing her of the problem and the procedures using the STAR
method of feedback.
4. Read the Termination Policy and Procedures provided on your e-learning and then send a final
email to the Manager confirming the procedures to be followed. You must include a confirmation
of the legislative basis for the termination in your email to the manager.
5. Provide a screenshot showing all your folders and documents for this work. All documents
submitted on this assessment task should be properly named and filed.

1. Review the Staff Performance Appraisal A (provided on your e-learning), identify at least three
trends in customer service (using the internet) and review the core units of competency in
Certificate III in Customer Engagement (link provided in your assessment task). When you have
done all of that, you can then develop a Learning and Development Plan using the template
provided. This should include at least six learning and development activities (one every two
months) and be based on the analysis and research you have conducted.
2. Assuming that one of your proposed activities was approved, send an email to the administration
for contacting training providers. Your email should include:
a.) A summary of the training activity.
b.) Name, address, email and phone number of the training provider.
c.) The allotted cost for the activity.
3. Use the Seminar Plan Template to develop a 30-minute lunch seminar for the staffs. Also provide
a PowerPoint presentation for the said seminar. This should address the following as minimum:
a.) Introduction to the topic and overview of session
b.) Key learning points
c.) Timings for each part of the session
d.) Practical activity
e.) Time for discussion
4. Write a script of you presenting to the class the training session you prepared.
5. Review the Staff Performance Appraisal B and Compare the results with the Staff Performance
Appraisal A and assess the effectiveness of the learning and development activities conducted.
6. Read the email sent by the office manager and consider what form of remedial action you could
seek from the training provider. Write an email to the provider to outline the issues and to
negotiate remedial action.
7. Provide a screenshot showing all your folders and documents for this work. All documents
submitted on this assessment task should be properly named and filed.
