I. Course Overview:

Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence is percolating in all major parts of business &
lives. It raises multiple questions around privacy, security, ethics, and similar areas. It has
become important for upcoming managers to study fundamentals of this area and their
applications in business. Machine Learning covers the aspect of algorithms, neural
networks, associated mathematics & Artificial Intelligence is the broader topic around
cognition, ability to think, reason and work like an animal or human brain.

Course intends to give an overview of all major areas of Artificial Intelligence to managers
along with case studies, setting up basic algorithms in KNIME and discussion on
contemporary topics. Topics like genetic algorithms, swarm intelligence and expert
systems will be covered too.

II. Course Learning Outcomes (CLO):

At the end of the course, the students will be able to:

1. Elaborate on the business applications of Machine Learning and AI

2. Discuss the technical concepts of Machine Learning and AI
3. Apply Machine Learning and AI to solve real-world issues
