Field Trip Report to UTHM,

Faculty Of Technology Management And Business (FPTP \ FTMB)

Attendees :
NURHAZIM SHAFIQ BIN MOHD SHAH AP180485

INTRODUCTION

The objective for the field trip is to reveal and inform all the student about the real estate
management program in the faculty. This course actually has shown a tremendous successful
alumni. Within this, other than informing the student about the course, this also helped to
emphasize and support the student to graduate within the selection of their own program or
courses. During that field trip, there are two alumni were invited to give a little talk and
explaination.

The faculty was established on 20th June 2001. The faculty is led by a Dean, three Deputy
Deans and assisted by five Head of Department with academic and non-academic staff who
are experienced, progressive, full of vision and enthusiasm. FPTP consists of five
departments, namely, the Department of Management and Technology, Department of
Production & Operation Management, Department of Construction Management, Department
of Real Estate Management and Department of Business Management.

There are two alumni who are active to give student advice and talk in the program.

1) NABILAH NAZORI –REAL ESTATE NEGOTIATOR FOR PRONEX.SDN BHD


2) MUSLIH THANI – REAL ESTATE NEGOTIATOR FOR REALMAN SDN BHD

Besides alumni, those student also were given a speech and a little bit review upon the real
estate program by the Dr Burhaida Burhan ( Head Of Department ). Including two others
lecturer Dr Siti Aisyah and Sr Masfalizah both of them are high experience in working for the
real estate management.

FIELD OBSERVATION

During the field trip by the student, other than student were informed about the course, they
also were taken to the facility in the faculty where all the course and program were takes
place. This is the place that they were taken :

1) classroom and lecture hall


2) computer room
3) café
4) lecturer office and administration office
During the talk and speech about the program and courses, student get those explanation and
description. According to the head of department Dr Burhaida, the course that were allocated
by the faculty are fully based on industry demand. This mean that, the subject that student
are learning in this program are based on demand, Malaysia Qualification Agency, and also
regulated and endorsed by The Board of Valuers, Appraiser, Estate Agent, and Property
Managers.

Summarize for the talk :


1) Year 1 – is for general knowledge and exposing about real estate
2) Year 2 – general method, process, theory and approach in real estate
3) year 3 – Final year project, advanced in real estate management and valuation
4) year 4 – Manage to improvised, using analytical thinking in real estate performance

After that, the Alumni were given a talk about how to success in this program. Based on
Encik Muslih Thani, he was not that reliable and smart student. He actually gain more
experience with join a lot of extra working field during the study time. He manage to get
pointer 3.22 which is for him is more than enough within his effort. There are tips were
given for the student.

1) Did not follow the bad friend decision and influence.


2) Manage your time.
3) Do not push to the limit unless you can handle it.

Next talk were given by Cik Nabila Nazori, who are preferred call “Kak Nana”. She are a
charming and independent person. She actually did better in the academic but she was using
difference kind of approach. What she did was she skip her thesis or final year project and
did her industrial training. She manage to get 3,42 pointer and she give the advice to the
student.

1) Respect to the lecturer.


2) Submit task on time.
3) Did not delay any work.
4) Involve in many program such as talk, motivation, activity and such on
5) Ask advice from experience people and discuss among each other.

Dr Siti Aisyah and Sr Masfaliza was supporting all the statement that given by the alumni.
These two lecturer did not give a much talk seems it was late in the evening.

CONCLUSION

Real estate management in UTHM are more precise and valuable choice for the student who
love to become a manager, valuer and analyser. Student has their own choice to choose what
better for their own future. The trip was good explanation for the student to choose the
courses and program given by the faculty. Suggesting that, if any other similar trip that were
conducted, student has opportunity to conduct a virtual management, valuation, and analysis
study.
