Schedulingneeds2021 Draft
For the Conference Services operation for Summer 2021, Thaddeus and I have developed mock
schedules and have estimated hours needed for staff for various check-ins, check-outs, live ins,
etc. These schedules and hour estimates will include all groups who have shown interest in
seeking operations for this summer. Our staffing needs may change as we receive
Accommodations Request or are notified about cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances.
Our estimates are based on current projections of the summer as well as history with those
groups. Additionally, throughout the summer, we may need staff for extra tasks including signs,
keys, etc. These would be minimal hours a week, but many of these tasks ideally could be
completed during our Conference Office shifts throughout the week. In the schedule, you will
also see a block for our regular SCS Meetings, this is still in the schedule for informational
purposes on when we would normally have our meetings with staff in the past, but after
discussions these meetings may change or be combined with Residence Life meetings.
The hours we project throughout the weeks we will have groups are as follows:
Desk Staff: 2 people for 7-8 hours each per shift – 11 shifts this week
Desk Staff: 1-2 people for 8 hours each per shift – 17 shifts this week
Desk Staff: 2 people for 7-8 hours each per shift – 4 shifts this week
Total: 70 hours
Desk Staff: 2 people for 7- 8 hours each per shift – 5 shifts this week
Total: 76 hours
