Saiyed Asif Mahmood is the Chief of Operations of Technomen Kinetics (Pvt.) Ltd. and its various sister concerns
and has 28 years experience to his credit in the disciplines of Engineering and Finance. He was also the first
President of Anvil International, a Joint venture between a US and a Pakistani Company.
During his years at Technomen, Saiyed Asif Mahmood has been involved, at the top level, with all major projects
since his joining, where he has been responsible for Project Planning and their execution, he has also worked on
Reliability and Maintainability assignment with Raythion and NASA in the US.
Saiyed Asif Mahmood has been the treasurer of Operations Research Society of America for a number of years and
has taught Master Level courses on Engineering Management and Operations Research at Florida Tech.
Mr. Mahmood has also been the Chairman of Engineering Decision Management (EDM), Inc. USA until its
acquisition by Harris Corporation. He was also the Senior Vice Chairman of a Students’body and Administrator of
Individualized Learning Centre (ILC) at Florida Tech.
He did his Bachelor of Engineering from NED University and Technology, Karachi, Pakistan and then proceeded to
US for a Masters in Operations Research and Engineering Management and another Masters in Mechanical
Engineering. He has completed his PhD coursework in Artificial Intelligence and has been a speaker at various
forums on Optimization Techniques, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering.
Syed Arif Ali, a Mechanical engineer, is the founder and Director Projects of Technomen Kinetics (Pvt.) Ltd, and
has 35 years experience to his credit in the disciplines of Engineering, Planning, Project management,
Maintenance and Construction of Projects. He was involved in construction of the following Power projects :
• 2 x 210 MW Bin Qasim Power Plant (ANSALDO)
• 3x210 MW Muzzafargarh Power Plant (TECHNOPROMEXPORT)
• 432 MW Terbella Hydel Power Project.
• 160 MW Attock Gen Power project
• 100 MW Kamoki Power Project.
Syed Arif Ali was involved as Project Manager of the following Petro Chemical and Industrial Projects
• Dewan Sulman Fiber Project. Phase I (Polymerization Process Plant)
• Dewan Sulman Fiber Project. Phase II (Polymerization Process Plant)
• Dhan Fiber Project. (Polymerization Process Plant)
• ICI Polymer Project (Polymerization Process Plant)

Syed Arif Ali was given a task by ENGRO to supervise erection and transportation of its world’s largest Fertilizer
Plant at Deherki.
Jamroze Khan
Jamroze Khan is General Manager Technical for Technomen Kinetics (PVT) Ltd and has 38 years of experience
to his credit in the discipline of Engineering. Since his joining, Jamroze Khan has been responsible for Project
Planning, Execution, Testing & Commissioning of Power Plants.
Prior to joining Technomen, Mr. Khan had been serving as General Manager Operations for 126 MW IPP Power
Plant. He has been involved in Project Management, Installation, Commissioning of Power Plant and after COD
he acted as a resource person for efficient and reliable Operation and Maintenance of Plant.
Mr. Khan has also been General Manager Engineering for Crescent Textile Mills Ltd. Faisalabad where he was
involved in Power Projects, Utilities and Installation & Maintenance of Textile Machinery and Chiller Plants.
Mr. Khan has also served as Commissioning Engineer with Deutsche Babcock on Bin Qasim Power Plant Unit 3.
He did his Bachelors of Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi Pakistan. He is
also in possession of Certificate of Competency of First Class Marine Engineer and sailed in the capacity of Chief
Engineer with Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC). Where he was in charge of Ship Equipment /
Machinery which included Diesel, Steam and Gas operated rotating equipment as well as stationary equipment.
Najam ul Hasnain
Najam ul Hasnain is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering Technology,
Karachi, Pakistan. He has to his credit more than 35 years of experience in the field as well as in planning and
management functions.
In the early years of his career, he was involved in the operation and maintenance of marine main propulsion and
auxiliary plants. Subsequently, he worked on the operation and maintenance of diesel-electric plants.
Mr Hasnain has a vast experience of project implementation and project management. He was actively involved
in a number of major government projects, which ranged from an outlay of US 50.00 Million to US $ 1.00 Billion.
During these projects, he was involved at the field level, and then at the project management level. He has
managed (from the position at the Headquarters) one of the biggest engineering projects in the country.
In the later part of his career, he was involved in a Research and Development organization at the national level.
He was Director Projects in the pioneer team, which was formed to set up a dedicated R & D facility for maritime
technologies. He served in this organization for 10 years and rose to become the Deputy Director General of the
set up. During this phase, he was actively involved in multi-disciplined projects at all stages i.e. from the concept
stage to the commissioning and acceptance by the user.
Mr Hasnain has a Diploma in French from the National Institute of Modern Languages, Islamabad and is
conversant with French Language.
