Earth is angry
Cars revving
The burning of fuels
Ploughing of fields
Our emissions rising,
Yet we say it looks the same
We say it feels the same,

Fumes fill the air

The ice melting away
Fires raging throughout
Tearing away our blanket
Holding us like a baby in a cradle
Slowly breaking inside
We see nothing yet feel this.

But still do not believe

Tearing us apart.

I want to show you

What it will be
When its gone too far
Feels powerless, paralysed yet passive
We try help yet we still do nothing
We want to help yet we still stand there
We feel weak yet try act strong

The earth screams for help

Fires, fearing, floods
Warming, warning, wastes
Emissions, emerging, emergency
Generations to come
Our ancestors look down
Asking why
One day we will see these affects
Yet not feeling this
Powerless, paralysed yet passive

Wake up,
Turn on your lights
Get your food and get in your car
A daily routine
Yet we don’t realise these
