a. Develop an introductory paragraph for argumentative essay based on the chosen topic using the
INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH FORM (DRAFT 1).
b. The introductory paragraph should contain the following:
 general statements of the topic
 the importance of the issue
 the opposing view regarding the issue
 the writer’s stance (thesis statement)

3. Your INTRODUCTORY PARAGRAPH FORM (DRAFT 1 & 2) must be typed using font Arial 11 with

DEBATABLE STATEMENT:

STANCE: FOR / AGAINST

GENERAL STATEMENT (HOOK):

Robot machines have entered heavily many fields in humans’ life in our modern era.

IMPORTANCE OF THE ISSUE:

It is important issue to get involve with, as robots influence humans and their life

OPPOSING VIEW:

Some people express their concern about the negative effects robots have that might harm humans, as
many accidents have happened due to robotic failures, like injuries happened to workers or patients in
hospitals

THESIS STATEMENT:
However, despite these claims, people should know that robots industry is not something static, neither it
is black and white picture, in fact robot industry is improving everyday, and robots for instance, can do
dangerous jobs in the work force that humans cannot do safely, and in the long term work; robots joints
can be replaced while humans’ cannot.
