Dear Madam/Sir,

$g: Conducting Online English Language Standardised Test for teachers, TVET trainers and
School Leaders

The Ministry of Education in collaboration with Education First is organizing an English Language
Standardised Test for primary sohool teachers, secondary school teachers, TVET trainers and school
leaders after which they will be trained based on proficiency levels.

Based on the above, I would like to request you to support in the preparation for this test and to
inform all primary and gecondary school teachers, TVET trainers and school lmanager/leaders from
Public, Government Aided and Priva@ schools in your respective districts to attend the test as
scheduled below:

The testing centres will be schools with smart classrooms and participants (teachers/trainers and
school leaders) will sit for the test in respective districts of their employment at selected centres
hence cater for their own transport. They are requested to keep time and they have to bring their
personal headsets or earphones to be used. DDEs are requested to work with SEIs and HTs/SMs to
organise the centres and the testing exercise for their respective school staff(HTs/teachers/trainers)

The availability and observation of the following should be ensured at each selected centre:

. Cleaned working in smart classrooms;

One IT teacherassigned to each centre;
o Strictly l5 teachers in each smartclassroom:
. Social distancing between teachers;
. Hand washing facilities.

Please note that this test is a must to

all teachers, trainers and school leaders; District authorities
should fully own this exercise. Details regarding testing centres will be shared for better
coordination.
