SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM

Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a professional program and terminal in

nature, Hence, the students are molded by a well defined content and structured curriculum
focused to facilitate the students to become confident in taking up a job immediately after their
course of study.
As part of a professional preparation, during their four semester post-graduate course,
they undergo a rigorous five weeks after the successful completion of the second semester
attached to industry or business establishment, to have the feel of the job requirement, besides
understanding the corporate world and environment, where they will be after their course
completion. This program helps the students to work in an organization as an intern and gain a
practical experience in the real work environment. They also learn to apply the theoretical
concepts learnt in the class room to the corporate life situations and sharpen their professional
knowledge and skills.
During the internship, they will be guided by the faculty guide from the academic
perspective and the company guide from the point of view of an executive, so that the trainees
gain both the knowledge and application aspects of professional development. Thus the program
will be rewarding to the trainees, at the same add value to the college as well as the organization.
The trainees as part of their internship will execute different assignments and jobs given
by the organization, which will form an integrated part of their on-the-job training.
The trainees also given knowledge about the organizational structure, the functioning of
different departments, and jobs executed by individual employees.
They learn to understand the organizational culture, policies, recruitment procedures,
compensation packages etc. After the internship all the students will submit a report which will
be assessed as part of the internal evaluation.

Reporting procedures to the college:

All report should be sent to Faculty guide, Department of Management Studies, Fatima
College (Autonomous), Madurai.
a. Immediately after joining the organization, every student will have to send joining report.
(Annexure A)
b. Weekly reports should be sent on every Saturday (Annexure B)
c. After successful completion of 4 weeks training, students should submit a report in the
format given in (Annexure C) along with the certificate (upto the day before college re-opening
day) from the organization concerned.
