teaching competencies.

Commitment to the Profession

Strengths: Khadeeja has been committed to the profession from day one. She is always on
time and is well prepared for the lesson.

Planning for Learning

Strengths: Lesson planning, lesson structure and lesson delivery with high expectations.

Areas for improvement:

Differentiation needs to be developed more - easy, medium and challenging activity to
accommodate all student levels.
Managing Learning

Strengths: Khadeeja had a very good Math lesson with Grade 1D. Success Criteria introduced
and revisited at the end as part of self assessment - student encouraged to give their
feedback. Problem of the Day with explanation.
Implementing Learning

Strengths: khadeeja’s lesson with Grade 1D had vocabulary slides that were very effective and
supported lower ability students. Students were able to read and write number to 120 with
song and rhyme

Areas for improvement: Peer feedback needs to be developed with "next step" feedback.
Assessment

Strengths:
Khadeeja checked in on students throughout the lesson. She also used assessment for learning
in her plenary and exit tickets. Her impromptu questioning at the end of the lessons are
amazing.
Areas for improvement:
I would like to see some self and/or peer assessment in her next lesson.

Reflection on Practice

Strengths: Khadeeja has been reflecting on her teaching and making improvements in the next
lesson.

Action Plan (next steps):

E-Maturity needs to be developed.

Keep up the great work!
