President’s Message
It’s testing time in Tennessee! That is how I’ve
spent the past three weeks at school. I am
looking forward to the end of the schoolyear
and all the busyness that it brings…and starting
fresh next year. I know we all wish things would
return to “normal.” I am hopeful!

Chapter Updates
• Our chapter will receive the Silver
Maycie Award this year. Way to go!
• Our chapter will receive Honorable
Mention for our communications. We
need to have more member news and
submissions to the state newsletter and
local papers. We can do this!
• We did have several submissions for the
Essay Contest but no winners this time.
We will try again next year.
Member News
Edith Roark has decided to reinstate her
membership. We are so pleased to have her as
an active member again.

Treasury Notes
Chapter dues ($85 for active, $45 for reserve)
are due by June 30. I know some of you cannot
attend meetings, but your monetary dues help
us keep our chapter activities going. We

Meeting Update
It was so nice being able to meet in person for
the first time in over a year! Everlan was such a
nice place, and I think everyone who attended
enjoyed themselves. Our student teachers and
their parents were all personable and very
appreciative of the award. We were able to put
together 36 kits each for Elizabethton HS and
Happy Valley HS. Thank you to all who donated
and/or helped put the kits together.
