Purpose

The purpose of this progress report is to show the information we received back from the first
test for our new gaming system. This progress report will also show the research we have
accomplished so far.
Introduction

Currently, LT Family Entertainment has focused their time and energy on many different games
and systems such as Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 8 deluxe, Super Mario Party
and, much more. There has been an increase of interest from the buyers and users of this system
and games. An issue that still needs to be fixed within our system is the water resistant because a
touch of water would ruin the whole system. Many potential buyers would find it easier to buy a
case and a screen protector to make it safe until we fix the water problem. This is a predicament
our company has faced since the beginning, and it also impacts the parents who decided to buy
one for their little ones but realize it breaks easily and chooses something out.
This system sales keeps improving each year especially around christmas time. In 2017, our
company sold 4.88 million consoles in the United States alone. In 2018, we sold 5.63 million
consoles and In 2019, we sold 6.82 million consoles. By the end of 2020 in December, we
revealed that we sold about 79.87 million consoles. This is close to 80 million consoles and it has
only been on the market for 46 months and will continue to grow and update as we move
forward into the future. I believe that we can keep raising the percent of consoles being sold in
the United States. The more we improved and perfect the device the more buyers we would have.

LT Family Entertainment has also impacted the people around the world. Because of the virus
more people are considering buying our console to keep everyone and themselves entertained to
get through this hard time. Our current products, such as Nintendo Switch, Animal Crossing,
Mario Kart 8 deluxe, and Super Mario Party materials still have a big impact socially and
economically in this business. Our console will provide a new option for friends and family
looking to find new and creative ways to stay connected without endangering the lives of each
other. This console will have a far future ahead of them. I propose to only test this console out in
the United States before we try to go global to make sure there aren’t too many problems. This is
the future for LT Family Entertainment and it is sure to renew the spirits of our customers and
bring in more money and new ideas for the company. This is a project that also protects current
employee jobs, for if the income decreases many will have to lose their jobs within our company.
Our employees' talents will be challenged and used skillfully in the development of this new
system.
Completed Tasks

These tasks are ones that have been completed since the start of our research. These tasks are
composed of tasks 1,3,4 with 2 and 5 remaining to be completed.

Task 1 : Budget and Finance

For my project we have received a budget of $900,000 to help to start us off and try to start
selling in stores. We have been able to consult and hone our skills to work with different
companies who would like to join in on funding for our project. With the enough resources that
have been provided, cost-effective materials and procedures can now easily be found in order to
increase production efficiency.

Task 3 : Necessary materials and variables

Since we know what materials we need for the most eco-friendly console on the market. We
now know that abs plastic costs $1.50 per pound and the metal cost $0.44/lb, so we also know
how much money to spend. Multiple internal components require minerals including the battery
and circuit board, with the plastic making up the outer shell of protection and overall shape of the
console. Now, we also know how much money we need to spend on materials and which
audience we are trying to reach out to.
Task 4 : Interview People, to see if their needs to be any improvements
In LT Family Entertainment’s studies, we discovered many families have spent more money
during quarantine then before, because people are stuck at home and need something to do. The
interview citizens also said their family, the Nintendo Switch has been one of the best purchases
they ever made. They love playing it together as a family, and the quality of games they have
gotten with the Switch is phenomenal. They also loved that it encouraged a lot of creativity in
my kids.

Task 5 : Determine how the data will be collected

We decided that the data will be collected on how many people who came to the events and try
our new products. We will also use our services to collect specific information about your device,
and across your devices, such as the product model, serial number, operating system, device
settings, device performance, device and advertising identifiers, Internet service provider, IP
address and other unique personal or online information.

Future Task
This task is the last one remaining to be completed before we can place our new system on the
market later this year or early next year. After we finish the last task we can finish the remaining
part of our research report.

Task 2 : Establish Mutually Beneficial Partnerships

We have emailed large companies and organizations, LT Family Entertainment who will be able
to help us extend overseas but we haven’t gotten any replies back. Through these partnerships
with these large companies we will be able to put our consoles in every and most popular retail
stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy and many more.Partnering with businesses, our
mutually beneficial relationship would visually attract customers to the stores whilst providing a
platform for the customers to interact with the displays. Because our goal is to entertain families
we decided to create different events to promote our new consoles and have different
rides, activities, food, and prizes. This can also benefit our partners because they can also have
some booths at the event to promote themselves and increase their buyers. We will also support
numerous charitable organizations and educational institutions, and in particular, proactively
contributes to various special projects that support children.

Summary

We have successfully completed tasks 1,3,4,5. In order to begin our research report, we would
like to finish the remaining task. We are on schedule to complete a task by the week of May 19th.
We have acquired a good understanding on how the entertainment world would work and the
supplies needed to complete it. We have completed various interviews and people tend to buy
more things now, because we have to stay home and spend more time with family. We have
finished most research necessary to begin a report, establishing everything for this project to
begin, with approval of Ms.Willowbit. In the report we will present soon, we will include our
recommendations on how we think LT Family Entertainment should proceed with the project and
take the best course of action to acquire the best results.
