Accomplishments / Events
• In 2020 we hosted 425,000 DoD and 35,000 local/state
interagency partner man-days
• Awarded NGB Environmental Stewardship award & DOD Natural
Resources Conservation Award
• Completed rail siding and conducted winter rail operations
• Hosted multiple joint training events: 123rd CRG, MDSU 2, USCG
Winter Dive School
• Served as the central hub, providing logistical and medical support
for the Civil Disturbance, Long Term Care, Testing, & Vaccination
missions
• Over 6,500 Activated Soldiers & over 80,000 man-days
• Operation Safety Net
• 2-135 IN successfully mobilized 800 Soldiers for deployment
• Supported the 1/34th ABCT’s NTC Rotation – 1st exercise at the
NTC in COVID environment
2020 Civil Response
• Assisted in the quick mobilization for the 1-194,
2-136, 134 BSB

• Camp Ripley provided logistical support for


these organizations to report to Arden Hills
within 12 hours of their notification

• Logistical Support included


• 4,100 Cots

• 4,800 MRE’s distributed

• 18,000 locally catered meals served

• Repair parts, protective equipment,


personal items, etc.

• Camp Ripley supported out-processing and


COVID testing for all 6,500 activated Soldiers

Why we conduct burns:


• To create a safe training environment for Soldiers
and protect surrounding communities
• Mitigates the risk of fires starting during range firing
• Improve and enhance native fire dependent plant
communities
