Day 1

Average - A calculated "central" value of a set of numbers.


To calculate it: add up all the numbers, then divide by how many numbers there are.

Outlier - A measurement in a data set that stands out and is far from the other values in the set

Minimum - the smallest value in the data set.

Lower Quartile - the median of the lower half of the data

Upper Quartile - the median of the upper half of the data set.

Maximum - the largest value in the data set.

Box Plot - a chart used to show the minimum, lower quartile, median, upper quartile, and
maximum of a data set. Box plots also show Outliers.

Day 2
Range - the difference between the greatest and the least value.

Outlier - a data value that is way greater or way less than the other values.

Lower extreme - the least number in a set of data. (Min)

Upper extreme - the greatest number in a set of data. (Max)

Interquartile range - the difference between the lower and upper quartile.

Day 3
Negatively skewed (Skewed left): This is when the majority of the data is to the right of the
distribution and the tail is to the left.

Negatively skewed (Skewed left): This is when the majority of the data is to the right of the
distribution and the tail is to the left.
