As a part of my school's
CSTP 6: Developing as a Professional Educator
goals for this year, my
colleagues and I are
working on improving
our science teaching
methods. We received
and read the book,
Visible Learning for
Science, and we were a
part of a professional
development training
that focused on
insights from the book.

My colleagues and I
meet regularly to
discuss and reflect on
teaching practices and
strategies and share
highlights that we
found useful in our
classrooms. By
listening to one
another, we can then
incorporate some new
tools in our
classrooms. 12/13/20
DoodleBugs Animal
Adventures. My class
participated in a virtual
field trip by going on a
safari with the
CSTP 6: Developing as a Professional Educator
DoodleBugs Animal
Adventures program.
This field trip related to
the science curriculum
and the unit on
Organisms and Their
Habitats. Students were
able to build connections
and relate to what they
learned on the field trip
to what they learned in
the science unit. 3/30/21
