RE: Ms. Megan Wooley www.memphis.edu

To Whom It Concerns:

It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Megan Wooley. I have
known Ms. Wooley for approximately one year as a student in my courses. As Ms.
Wooley’ professor, I had opportunity to observe her participation and interaction in class, and to
evaluate her knowledge of the subject matter. Ms. Wooley was an outstanding student in all
respects. She not only completed all assignments well in advance of their due dates, but I often
used her submissions as examples for other students. It has been my pleasure to have her as a
student. Ms. Wooley’s grade point average demonstrates her commitment to her education,
serving others, and overcoming any challenge she encounters. Ms. Wooley maintains excellent
metacognition through clear demonstrations of problem solving and critical thinking skills. Her
kind nature and calm personality make her very approachable; she models professionalism to
those around her, and is a highly effective communicator.

Ms. Wooley has distinguished herself as an intelligent, thoughtful, and conscientious scholar.
She is one of those exceptional individuals that needs very little supervision, as she is a natural
leader. In the classroom, she sets the example for others through her actions. She took initiative
to assist and collaborate with her peers on assignments, delve deeper into the content, and create
a highly positive learning environment. Ms. Wooley works well with others and collaborates
with fellow students, as well as assumes leadership roles with ease. Her intelligence and
excellent communication skills are an asset that will serve her well as a practitioner in her field.
Ms. Wooley is highly motivated, and I feel confident predicting that she will become an
excellent teacher, and look forward to following her career, as she becomes a leader in her field.

I strongly endorse and recommend Megan Wooley for a teaching position at your school. If you
have any questions, please feel free to contact me. It would be my pleasure to share more about
Ms. Wooley.
