In this interactive white board activity, the children will touch the board to label the

Activity Step 1:
In order to begin this lesson, I will begin to familiarize my
students with the water cycle.

Step 2: Once my students have a basic understanding of what


the water cycle is, I will present them with a picture on the
smartboard of the water cycle. I will then divide my students
into teams of 3 or 4, and assign each group a different color
marker. I will then ask each team to discuss the order of the
steps in the water cycle. Once the teams have discussed their
answers, I will ask each team to come up and place the numbers
on the picture of the order they believe the steps take place
with their teams colored marker. Next, we will go over each
group’s answers, and discuss the correct answers.

Step 3: I will have my students watch an animated video about


the water cycle.

Step 4: I will have my students take a quiz.

Step 5: I will have my students complete a fill in the blank


paragraph about the water cycle.

Step 6: Next, I will have them write down 2 things that they
learned from the lesson.

Step 7: I will have the students break into groups of 3 or 4 and


create a water cycle project. In this project they will create a
model of the water cycle, and label and describe each step of
the water cycle.
