ACTIVITY 7

1. Why was Esther considered a courageous woman?

 Esther was considered a courageous woman because her actions saved the whole nation. She
didn't care about what will happen to her if she disobeys the rules as long as she can save the
Jews.

2. In what situation did Esther said these words: “Grant me my life-this is my petition. And spare my
people- this is my request.”

 These words were spoken by Esther in their second supper together with the King and Haman.
The King asked what she wants because he will grant it and Esther said that she wants her
people to be saved.

3. In what situations in life can you exhibit courage like that of Esther? …your own experience.

 The situation in life that I can exhibit courage like that of Esther is when I fight from an illness
when I was in grade four. I didn’t let my fears become an obstacle. I didn't let myself down and
strongly face that illness.

4. Give your own reflection about Queen Esther’s life. How does her life affect you as young people of
today?

 Esther is a very strong and independent woman as she saves her cousin and people from their
destruction that lead by Haman. Her life affects me as a young person from being an example of
a courageous woman. Acknowledging our lack of courage is the first step to overcoming it. But
we must not allow fear to paralyze us into taking no action at all. Just like in the saying “When
opportunity knocks, grab it”, with God’s given opportunity we should grab it, seize it, and don’t
let it go. It will surely make a difference in our life.
