PHASE CHANGE HEAT TRANSFER 2021.Spring

1. The saturated water with 0.12 kg/s flows into the horizontal tube with
diameter of 1 cm and length of 2.5 m under the system pressure of 70 bar.
The horizontal tube is heated up with uniform heat (100 kW). Calculate the
pressure drop using the homogeneous flow model.

2. Two phase flow with water and steam flows into the sudden extract pipe with
the diameters of 20 mm to 40 mm. Calculate the pressure drop with the given
conditions as quality, x = 0.05, the pressure inside pipe = 10 bar and mass
flow rate = 1 kg/s.
