B. What do you think are the contributions of Bicolano writers to the development of regional literary
traditions? Recall some of their notable contribution and write a short paragraph. Your work will be
rated by the rubric that follows.
I think with the help of Bicolano writers, some of the other writers will be having idea of what
do Bicolano do or how Bicolano thinks. It is also helpful since some of bicolano writers are based on
the holy bible. One of the notable contribution is “An Parabareta” written by Mariano Perfecto. The
writer is considered as the “Father of Bikol Literature” because of this newspaper, the Bikol region
obtain its first printing press.

B. What is the role of the local authors in the development of regional literature?
With the help of bicolano writers, the other region will become interested with us and able to
convince to visit. If the promoting become successful, more tourist will come and the economy of
bicol will grow. The main role of it is to inspire and promote.

1. If you were an author, how are you going to contribute to the development of regional literary
traditions?
If I were an author, I am going to promote the beauty of Naga city. I’m going to inspire other
people on how Naga City is historical and at the same time modern and contemporary.

2. What aspect of regional literary traditions do you want to develop in your masterpiece?
I am going to develop the historic figure found in Naga City. Making it more historical is one of
my goal for it to be more classical.
