Christiansburg Primary School, Christiansburg, VA January 2021- April 2021 Worked with a cooperating teacher in a variety of roles with incremental levels of responsibility throughout the semester. Worked to develop a variety of lessons that enhance UDL in both home and school settings. Created newsletters to enhance communication and the diffusion of information between the classroom and the home space. Pulaski Elementary, Pulaski, VA August 2020 - November 2020 Partnered with a cooperating teacher to create modular learning unit in science that yielded positive and quantifiable results. Tasked with creating a variety of instructional materials for asynchronous and synchronous online instruction as well as those used in traditional school settings. Cooperated with school-based employees and Radford University staff to enhance curriculum, improve classroom efficiency, and maintain academic standards in compliance with ever-changing school procedures and district policies. Early Field Experience Montgomery and Pulaski Counties, Roanoke City, VA August 2019 – May 2020 Observed classroom teachers in a variety of roles and settings. Learned to adapt traditional classroom instruction and activities to online instruction. Constructed lessons based on IEP objectives in accordance with school and district expectations. Conducted multiple trials during an exercise designed to enhance a classroom skill for a student. Created an assessment for a unit that had to be modified because of COVID concerns.
