ADERCO L 1050 –
LUBRICITY IMPROVEMENT ADDITIVE
July 2010
AVERAGE DOSAGE:
1 litre per 30 tonnes of fuel.
DOSAGE:
Aderco L 1050 ranges from 1 litre per 10 tonnes up to 40 tonnes
The DMZ is a new grade of distillate fuel. The difference between DMX –
DMA and DMZ is the minimum viscosity of 3.000 mm²/S @40°C
This DMZ is made to respect the minimum requirements of engine
builders at the level of viscosity in Gas Oil.
Do not confound viscosity and lubricity which are total different items
without any link between the one and the other.
For exemple:
You can have a high viscosity with a low grade of lubricity and the inverse
is possible too: a low viscosity and a high grade of lubricity
The use of ADERCO L 1050 will help you highering the level of lubricity
The both following diagrams are showing the results

DISTILLATE FUEL STANDARD

How Diesel Fuel Is Evaluated For Lubricating Ability:
Diesel fuel and other fluids are tested for lubricating ability using a device
called a “High Frequency Reciprocating Rig” or HFRR. The HFRR is
currently the internationally accepted, standardized method ISO 12156-1
to evaluate fluids for lubricating ability. It uses a ball bearing that
reciprocates or moves back and forth on a metal surface at a very high
frequency during 90 minutes. The machine does this while the ball bearing
and metal surface are immersed in the test fluid (in this case, treated
diesel fuel). At the end of the test the ball bearing is examined under a
microscope and the “wear scar” on the ball bearing is measured in
microns. The larger the wear scar, the poorer the lubricating ability of the
fluid. The independent lab runs every sample twice and averages the size
of the wear scar.

have forced refineries to modify certain
properties of diesel fuel. The result is that
today’s diesel fuel has reduced lubricity. HANDLING
ADERCO L 1050 is an additive specially
formulated to improve lubricity in ultra low Normal precautions for handling petroleum
sulfur diesel fuels. This lubricity is essential products should be observed :
for proper operation of injection pumps and
injectors in diesel engines. - If skin contact does occur: Wash
affected areas with soap and water.
