A light-natured piece full of melodic embellishments, opportunity for variety in phrase shaping,
articulation and dynamic colouring

Featured of classical piece:


- Very little pedalling
- Clear melodies above a chorded accompaniment
- Usually elegant and less complicated than baroque pieces
- Lots of dynamic contrasts within the piece with frequent changes of keys and melody
