In this activity, my students are going to use Google Slides to create a powerpoint presentation
about the food groups.
Pedagogy

Activity The students will be introduced to the five groups that the USDA recognizes. This is a part
of the energy balance SOL. The students will be introduced to the lesson by the teacher
first asking if the students can name the food groups. After this, the teacher will teach a
lesson on these five groups. They will then be instructed to go home and make an online
presentation about these food groups.

The at home project presentation should include the following:

Web The web 2.0 tool being used is Google Slides. Google Slides is available through the
2.0 website www.google.com/slides/about/ (for Mac or PC) or can be accessed through the
Technol Google Slides app on Apple and Android products.
