Basic Study Components


1. What research design are you pursing?
a. Quantitative Comparative Study
2. Do any group members need to obtain IRB Approval?
a. We will not be working with patient data of any kind therefore this group will not
need to obtain an IRB approval.
3. Will your study be prospective or retrospective?
a. Our study will be retrospective as we will collect the data first and then we would
analyze the results.
4. Number of research samples for data collection.
a. We would like to have at least 100 survey participants.

a. The same survey will be distributed to the participants.
5. How will you anonymize your patients?
a. We will not be working with patients, and we will not need to anonymize the
patients. The organization’s name and participant’s name will not be included in
the data collection.
6. How will you record your data for evaluation?
a. We will collect the data using survey monkey. The data will then be recorded
into an excel spreadsheet file. The use of table and graphs will display visual
results.
7. What resources are available for you to use?
a. Resources available to us include our instructors, preceptors, clinical sites, and
classmates.
8. Previous research study that will be used for data analysis.
