Questions 2.

Prove . f injective d

Answer 2.

Let A :{x ϵ R : x ≠ 1}

2x
f (x) = for all x ϵ A
x−1
 Prove f Injective

Answer :

- for all x1, x2 , ϵ A , if f (x) = f (x2) then x1 = x2

we answer that f (x1) = f (x2)
f (x1) = f (x2)
2x1 2x 2
=
x 1−1 x 2−1
2x1 (x2 – 1) = 2x2 (x1 – 1)
2x1.x2 – 2x1 = 2x2.x1 – 2x2
2x1.x2 – 2x1 = 2x2.x1 – 2x2
-2x1 = -2x2
x1 = x2
So That, Proved that f Injective
Question 3. Describe the above graph with your own word.

Answer 3.

The graph is entitled: the y curve is equal to two x squared minus four x and
minus two, and the y intercept is equal to min two x plus two. The graph has x and y
axes and the scales of both axes are in units of one. Given a minus four to plus four on
the y-axis, the lines intersect on both axes. The graph is asymmetrical about the vertical
line x equals zero on the y axis. On the graph, it starts from the second quadrant and
intersects at point (-1,4), and moves downward sharply to the fourth quadrant, which is
at point (1, -4), when the quadrant the four lines intersect at the intersection point ( 2,
-2) and the graph moves up again towards quadrant one.
